But some men came down from Judea and were teaching the brethren, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”


Since we have heard that some persons from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your minds, although we gave them no instructions,


But some believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees rose up, and said, “It is necessary to circumcise them, and to charge them to keep the law of Moses.”


I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand.


I, Paul, myself entreat you, by the meekness and gentleness of Christ—I who am humble when face to face with you, but bold to you when I am away! —


But if I, brethren, still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? In that case the stumbling block of the cross has been removed.


For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any avail, but faith working through love.


because we wanted to come to you—I, Paul, again and again—but Satan hindered us.


I, Paul, write this with my own hand, I will repay it—to say nothing of your owing me even your own self.


yet for love's sake I prefer to appeal to you—I, Paul, an ambassador and now a prisoner also for Christ Jesus —


For good news came to us just as to them; but the message which they heard did not benefit them, because it did not meet with faith in the hearers.
