The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good tidings to the afflicted; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;


“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed,


In all things I have shown you that by so toiling one must help the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”


Only take care lest this liberty of yours somehow become a stumbling block to the weak.


For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a slave to all, that I might win the more.


I will most gladly spend and be spent for your souls. If I love you the more, am I to be loved the less?


So I beg you to reaffirm your love for him.


Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.


For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake.


But because of false brethren secretly brought in, who slipped in to spy out our freedom which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage—


For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by a slave and one by a free woman.


For freedom Christ has set us free; stand fast therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.


For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”


But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,


Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.


Be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ.


remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.


Live as free men, yet without using your freedom as a pretext for evil; but live as servants of God.


They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption; for whatever overcomes a man, to that he is enslaved.


For admission has been secretly gained by some who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly persons who pervert the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
