Since we have heard that some persons from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your minds, although we gave them no instructions,


you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.


Because I was sure of this, I wanted to come to you first, so that you might have a double pleasure;


I beg of you that when I am present I may not have to show boldness with such confidence as I count on showing against some who suspect us of acting in worldly fashion.


being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.


I write this while I am away from you, in order that when I come I may not have to be severe in my use of the authority which the Lord has given me for building up and not for tearing down.


And I wrote as I did, so that when I came I might not suffer pain from those who should have made me rejoice, for I felt sure of all of you, that my joy would be the joy of you all.


For such a one this punishment by the majority is enough;


From now on, therefore, we regard no one from a human point of view; even though we once regarded Christ from a human point of view, we regard him thus no longer.


I rejoice, because I have perfect confidence in you.


And with them we are sending our brother whom we have often tested and found earnest in many matters, but who is now more earnest than ever because of his great confidence in you.


not that there is another gospel, but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.


But because of false brethren secretly brought in, who slipped in to spy out our freedom which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage—


And from those who were reputed to be something (what they were makes no difference to me; God shows no partiality)—those, I say, who were of repute added nothing to me;


O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified?


I am afraid I have labored over you in vain.


They make much of you, but for no good purpose; they want to shut you out, that you may make much of them.


I could wish to be present with you now and to change my tone, for I am perplexed about you.


I wish those who unsettle you would mutilate themselves!


You were running well; who hindered you from obeying the truth?


Henceforth let no man trouble me; for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.


Let those of us who are mature be thus minded; and if in anything you are otherwise minded, God will reveal that also to you.


And we have confidence in the Lord about you, that you are doing and will do the things which we command.


among them Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.


Confident of your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even more than I say.
