So Solomon held the feast at that time, and all Israel with him, a great assembly, from the entrance of Hamath to the Brook of Egypt, before the Lord our God, seven days.

So the boundary shall run from the sea to Hazar-enon, which is on the northern border of Damascus, with the border of Hamath to the north. This shall be the north side.


“On the east side, the boundary shall run from Hazar-enon between Hauran and Damascus; along the Jordan between Gilead and the land of Israel; to the eastern sea and as far as Tamar. This shall be the east side.


“On the west side, the Great Sea shall be the boundary to a point opposite the entrance of Hamath. This shall be the west side.


“These are the names of the tribes: Beginning at the northern border, from the sea by way of Hethlon to the entrance of Hamath, as far as Hazar-enon (which is on the northern border of Damascus over against Hamath), and extending from the east side to the west, Dan, one portion.


“For behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel,” says the Lord, the God of hosts; “and they shall oppress you from the entrance of Hamath to the Brook of the Arabah.”


Hamath also, which borders thereon, Tyre and Sidon, though they are very wise.


So they went up and spied out the land from the wilderness of Zin to Rehob, near the entrance of Hamath.


from Mount Hor you shall mark it out to the entrance of Hamath, and the end of the boundary shall be at Zedad;
