By myself I have sworn, from my mouth has gone forth in righteousness a word that shall not return: ‘To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.’


so shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and prosper in the thing for which I sent it.


The anger of the Lord will not turn back until he has executed and accomplished the intents of his mind. In the latter days you will understand it clearly.


“Then you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Drink, be drunk and vomit, fall and rise no more, because of the sword which I am sending among you.’


“Son of man, propound a riddle, and speak an allegory to the house of Israel;


All flesh shall see that I the Lord have kindled it; it shall not be quenched.”


Return it to its sheath. In the place where you were created, in the land of your origin, I will judge you.


Sigh therefore, son of man; sigh with breaking heart and bitter grief before their eyes.


What do you plot against the Lord? He will make a full end; he will not take vengeance twice on his foes.


For I lift up my hand to heaven, and swear, As I live for ever,
