For my sighing comes as my bread, and my groanings are poured out like water.


Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in full measure.


We get our bread at the peril of our lives, because of the sword in the wilderness.


Moreover the word of the Lord came to me:


you will be filled with drunkenness and sorrow. A cup of horror and desolation, is the cup of your sister Samaria;


And the food which you eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day; once a day you shall eat it.


And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision, for the men who were with me did not see the vision, but a great trembling fell upon them, and they fled to hide themselves.


When I break your staff of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and shall deliver your bread again by weight; and you shall eat, and not be satisfied.


And as for those of you that are left, I will send faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; the sound of a driven leaf shall put them to flight, and they shall flee as one flees from the sword, and they shall fall when none pursues.


therefore you shall serve your enemies whom the Lord will send against you, in hunger and thirst, in nakedness, and in want of all things; and he will put a yoke of iron upon your neck, until he has destroyed you.


And among these nations you shall find no ease, and there shall be no rest for the sole of your foot; but the Lord will give you there a trembling heart, and failing eyes, and a languishing soul;
