So as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, Jehu said to the guard and to the officers, “Go in and slay them; let not a man escape.” So when they put them to the sword, the guard and the officers cast them out and went into the inner room of the house of Baal


then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, “Who is on the Lord's side? Come to me.” And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together to him.


And the sons of Levi did according to the word of Moses; and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.


And Moses said, “Today you have ordained yourselves for the service of the Lord, each one at the cost of his son and of his brother, that he may bestow a blessing upon you this day.”


And to the others he said in my hearing, “Pass through the city after him, and smite; your eye shall not spare, and you shall show no pity;


And Moses said to the judges of Israel, “Every one of you slay his men who have yoked themselves to Baal of Peor.”


“If any one comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.


From now on, therefore, we regard no one from a human point of view; even though we once regarded Christ from a human point of view, we regard him thus no longer.


You shall stone him to death with stones, because he sought to draw you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
