Have you not driven out the priests of the Lord, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and made priests for yourselves like the peoples of other lands? Whoever comes to consecrate himself with a young bull or seven rams becomes a priest of what are no gods.


Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old; you shall take it from the sheep or from the goats;


for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and hallowed it.


“Then bring near to you Aaron your brother, and his sons with him, from among the people of Israel, to serve me as priests—Aaron and Aaron's sons, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.


And you shall speak to all who have ability, whom I have endowed with an able mind, that they make Aaron's garments to consecrate him for my priesthood.


And you shall put them upon Aaron your brother, and upon his sons with him, and shall anoint them and ordain them and consecrate them, that they may serve me as priests.


Then you shall take part of the blood that is on the altar, and of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it upon Aaron and his garments, and upon his sons and his sons' garments with him; and he and his garments shall be holy, and his sons and his sons' garments with him.


When you have finished cleansing it, you shall offer a bull without blemish and a ram from the flock without blemish.


And the priest who cleanses him shall set the man who is to be cleansed and these things before the Lord, at the door of the tent of meeting.


But thus shall Aaron come into the holy place: with a young bull for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering.


You shall not offer anything that has a blemish, for it will not be acceptable for you.


if it is the anointed priest who sins, thus bringing guilt on the people, then let him offer for the sin which he has committed a young bull without blemish to the Lord for a sin offering.


Fire shall be kept burning upon the altar continually; it shall not go out.


And he shall bring to the priest his guilt offering to the Lord, a ram without blemish out of the flock, valued by you at the price for a guilt offering;


This is the portion of Aaron and of his sons from the offerings made by fire to the Lord, consecrated to them on the day they were presented to serve as priests of the Lord;


and he said to Aaron, “Take a bull calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, both without blemish, and offer them before the Lord.


Pray then like this: Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.


For it was fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, blameless, unstained, separated from sinners, exalted above the heavens.


but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.
