I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.


For as in one body we have many members, and all the members do not have the same function,


Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.


So faith, hope, love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.


Now concerning food offered to idols: we know that “all of us possess knowledge.” “Knowledge” puffs up, but love builds up.


But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,


For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any avail, but faith working through love.


even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him.


and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all men, as we do to you,


We are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, as is fitting, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.


whereas the aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and sincere faith.


Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere love of the brethren, love one another earnestly from the heart.


So we know and believe the love God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
