Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away till all these things take place.


Then he said to them, “These are my words which I spoke to you, while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and the psalms must be fulfilled.”


And from his fulness have we all received, grace upon grace.


so they said to one another, “Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it to see whose it shall be.” This was to fulfil the scripture, “They parted my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots.”


After this Jesus, knowing that all was now finished, said (to fulfil the scripture), “I thirst.”


For these things took place that the scripture might be fulfilled, “Not a bone of him shall be broken.”


and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”


And when he had said this, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.


Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this which you see and hear.


But what God foretold by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ should suffer, he thus fulfilled.


I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows.


and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fulness of God.


For in him all the fulness of God was pleased to dwell,


For in him the whole fulness of deity dwells bodily,


Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of our religion: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.


Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.


For it was fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, blameless, unstained, separated from sinners, exalted above the heavens.


Now the point in what we are saying is this: we have such a high priest, one who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,
