the Lord protects him and keeps him alive; he is called blessed in the land; thou dost not give him up to the will of his enemies.


The Lord sustains him on his sickbed; in his illness thou healest all his infirmities.


who has kept us among the living, and has not let our feet slip.


And Moses said to the people, “Do not fear; for God has come to prove you, and that the fear of him may be before your eyes, that you may not sin.”


The reward for humility and fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life.


If you are wise, you are wise for yourself; if you scoff, you alone will bear it.


Tell the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds.


I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for their own good and the good of their children after them.


But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well.


And he said to him, “You have answered right; do this, and you will live.”


Moses writes that the man who practices the righteousness which is based on the law shall live by it.


“And now, O Israel, give heed to the statutes and the ordinances which I teach you, and do them; that you may live, and go in and take possession of the land which the Lord, the God of your fathers, gives you.


but you who held fast to the Lord your God are all alive this day.


that you may fear the Lord you God, you and your son and your son's son, by keeping all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged.


and he brought us out from there, that he might bring us in and give us the land which he swore to give to our fathers.


“All the commandment which I command you this day you shall be careful to do, that you may live and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the Lord swore to give to your fathers.


And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know; that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but that man lives by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.
