Then Jacob called his sons, and said, “Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you what shall befall you in days to come.


but if you return to me and keep my commandments and do them, though your dispersed be under the farthest skies, I will gather them thence and bring them to the place which I have chosen, to make my name dwell there.’

Then Moses told his father-in-law all that the Lord had done to Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel's sake, all the hardship that had come upon them in the way, and how the Lord had delivered them.


If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land;


The anger of the Lord will not turn back until he has executed and accomplished the intents of his mind. In the latter days you will understand it clearly.


“If you return, O Israel, says the Lord, to me you should return. If you remove your abominations from my presence, and do not waver,


and if you swear, ‘As the Lord lives,’ in truth, in justice, and in uprightness, then nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.”


But this command I gave them, ‘Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people; and walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.’


Let us test and examine our ways, and return to the Lord!

but declared first to those at Damascus, then at Jerusalem and throughout all the country of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God and perform deeds worthy of their repentance.


Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,


if you obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, if you turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.


and return to the Lord your God, you and your children, and obey his voice in all that I command you this day, with all your heart and with all your soul;


Then my anger will be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them and hide my face from them, and they will be devoured; and many evils and troubles will come upon them, so that they will say in that day, ‘Have not these evils come upon us because our God is not among us?’


And when many evils and troubles have come upon them, this song shall confront them as a witness (for it will live unforgotten in the mouths of their descendants); for I know the purposes which they are already forming, before I have brought them into the land that I swore to give.”


For I know that after my death you will surely act corruptly, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and in the days to come evil will befall you, because you will do what is evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger through the work of your hands.”


but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.


and being made perfect he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him,
