We do not see our signs; there is no longer any prophet, and there is none among us who knows how long.


And lo, six men came from the direction of the upper gate, which faces north, every man with his weapon for slaughter in his hand, and with them was a man clothed in linen, with a writing case at his side. And they went in and stood beside the bronze altar.


Then I Daniel looked, and behold, two others stood, one on this bank of the stream and one on that bank of the stream.


I heard, but I did not understand. Then I said, “O my lord, what shall be the issue of these things?”


Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to the one that spoke, “For how long is the vision concerning the continual burnt offering, the transgression that makes desolate, and the giving over of the sanctuary and host to be trampled under foot?”


And I heard a man's voice between the banks of the Ulai, and it called, “Gabriel, make this man understand the vision.”


As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will this be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the close of the age?”


“Tell us, when will this be, and what will be the sign when these things are all to be accomplished?”


that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places.


It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things which have now been announced to you by those who preached the good news to you through the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look.


and out of the temple came the seven angels with the seven plagues, robed in pure bright linen, and their breasts girded with golden girdles.
