the people of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone; and Moses would put the veil upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.


The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, but lawlessness takes away lives.


The wise will inherit honor, but fools get disgrace.


But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.


Besides being wise, the Preacher also taught the people knowledge, weighing and studying and arranging proverbs with great care.


he shall see the fruit of the travail of his soul and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous; and he shall bear their iniquities.


But if they had stood in my council, then they would have proclaimed my words to my people, and they would have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.


And those among the people who are wise shall make many understand, though they shall fall by sword and flame, by captivity and plunder, for some days.


and some of those who are wise shall fall, to refine and to cleanse them and to make them white, until the time of the end, for it is yet for the time appointed.


Many shall purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined; but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand; but those who are wise shall understand.


Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.


Jesus said to them, “Truly, I say to you, in the new world, when the Son of man shall sit on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.


“Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time?


He who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together.


He was a burning and shining lamp, and you were willing to rejoice for a while in his light.


Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers, Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Mana-en a member of the court of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.


According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and another man is building upon it. Let each man take care how he builds upon it.


And his gifts were that some should be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,


For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need some one to teach you again the first principles of God's word. You need milk, not solid food;


And count the forbearance of our Lord as salvation. So also our beloved brother Paul wrote to you according to the wisdom given him,


As for the mystery of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.


“So perish all thine enemies, O Lord! But thy friends be like the sun as he rises in his might.” And the land had rest for forty years.
