They said to him, “We have had dreams, and there is no one to interpret them.” And Joseph said to them, “Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell them to me, I pray you.”


Joseph answered Pharaoh, “It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.”


He who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory; but he who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and in him there is no falsehood.


“Brethren, sons of the family of Abraham, and those among you that fear God, to us has been sent the message of this salvation.


“Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs which God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know—


While he clung to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the portico called Solomon's, astounded.


The God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified his servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release him.


I ask, then, has God rejected his people? By no means! I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, a member of the tribe of Benjamin.


They are Israelites, and to them belong the sonship, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises;


Not that we are competent of ourselves to claim anything as coming from us; our competence is from God,


Then one of the elders addressed me, saying, “Who are these, clothed in white robes, and whence have they come?”
