And the king was deeply moved, and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept; and as he went, he said, “O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! Would I had died instead of you, O Absalom, my son, my son!”


She said to her mistress, “Would that my lord were with the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy.”


and said to them, “Would that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the fleshpots and ate bread to the full; for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”


But if you will not listen, my soul will weep in secret for your pride; my eyes will weep bitterly and run down with tears, because the Lord's flock has been taken captive.


Jeremiah said, “You shall not be given to them. Obey now the voice of the Lord in what I say to you, and it shall be well with you, and your life shall be spared.


But Moses said to him, “Are you jealous for my sake? Would that all the Lord's people were prophets, that the Lord would put his spirit upon them!”

for which I am an ambassador in chains; that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.


Him we proclaim, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man mature in Christ.
