I bow down toward thy holy temple and give thanks to thy name for thy steadfast love and thy faithfulness; for thou hast exalted above everything thy name and thy word.


And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”


Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them.


For I am a man set under authority, with soldiers under me: and I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my slave, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”


And I have other sheep, that are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will heed my voice. So there shall be one flock, one shepherd.


and not for the nation only, but to gather into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.


Then the proconsul believed, when he saw what had occurred, for he was astonished at the teaching of the Lord.


As they went out, the people begged that these things might be told them the next sabbath.


And when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and debate with them, Paul and Barnabas and some of the others were appointed to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and the elders about this question.


And when they read it, they rejoiced at the exhortation.


So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.


praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.


But going ahead to the ship, we set sail for Assos, intending to take Paul aboard there; for so he had arranged, intending himself to go by land.


And I said, ‘What shall I do, Lord?’ And the Lord said to me, ‘Rise, and go into Damascus, and there you will be told all that is appointed for you to do.’


When they had appointed a day for him, they came to him at his lodging in great numbers. And he expounded the matter to them from morning till evening, testifying to the kingdom of God and trying to convince them about Jesus both from the law of Moses and from the prophets.


So there was much joy in that city.


What then? Israel failed to obtain what it sought. The elect obtained it, but the rest were hardened,


Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.


We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.


Now, brethren, you know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints;


In him, according to the purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of his will,


and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power in us who believe, according to the working of his great might


even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him.


He destined us in love to be his sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,


Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed on and triumph, as it did among you,
