and you say, “How I hated discipline, and my heart despised reproof!


Therefore, as the tongue of fire devours the stubble, and as dry grass sinks down in the flame, so their root will be as rottenness, and their blossom go up like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord of hosts, and have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.


You shall leave your name to my chosen for a curse, and the Lord God will slay you; but his servants he will call by a different name.


But if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way; he shall die in his iniquity, but you will have saved your life.


Look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded. For I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told.


The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all this, and they scoffed at him.


And the people stood by, watching; but the rulers scoffed at him, saying, “He saved others; let him save himself, if he is the Christ of God, his Chosen One!”


For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, ‘I have set you to be a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.’ ”


And he said to me, ‘Depart; for I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’ ”


And it shall be that every soul that does not listen to that prophet shall be destroyed from the people.’


for we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place, and will change the customs which Moses delivered to us.”


by hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles that they may be saved—so as always to fill up the measure of their sins. But God's wrath has come upon them at last!


For the time has come for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?
