For he held fast to the Lord; he did not depart from following him, but kept the commandments which the Lord commanded Moses.

and from there they sailed to Antioch, where they had been commended to the grace of God for the work which they had fulfilled.

Working together with him, then, we entreat you not to accept the grace of God in vain.


You shall fear the Lord your God; you shall serve him and cleave to him, and by his name you shall swear.


loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice, and cleaving to him; for that means life to you and length of days, that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.”


which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and growing—so among yourselves, from the day you heard and understood the grace of God in truth,


Now you have observed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness,


Take good care to observe the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave to him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

By Silvanus, a faithful brother as I regard him, I have written briefly to you, exhorting and declaring that this is the true grace of God; stand fast in it.


And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming.


No greater joy can I have than this, to hear that my children follow the truth.


For admission has been secretly gained by some who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly persons who pervert the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
