But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon those who fear him, and his righteousness to children's children,

awaiting our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,


(for the law made nothing perfect); on the other hand, a better hope is introduced, through which we draw near to God.


By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
