Then Laban and Bethuel answered, “The thing comes from the Lord; we cannot speak to you bad or good.


But God came to Laban the Aramean in a dream by night, and said to him, “Take heed that you say not a word to Jacob, either good or bad.”


It is in my power to do you harm; but the God of your father spoke to me last night, saying, ‘Take heed that you speak to Jacob neither good nor bad.’


When King David heard of all these things, he was very angry.


He who conceals hatred has lying lips, and he who utters slander is a fool.


Argue your case with your neighbor himself, and do not disclose another's secret;


He who hates, dissembles with his lips and harbors deceit in his heart;


though his hatred be covered with guile, his wickedness will be exposed in the assembly.


Be not quick to anger, for anger lodges in the bosom of fools.


“If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.


Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,


Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, with all malice,


But he who hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.


He who says he is in the light and hates his brother is in the darkness still.


By this it may be seen who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not do right is not of God, nor he who does not love his brother.


and not be like Cain who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own deeds were evil and his brother's righteous.


Any one who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
