16 And those who had set their hearts to seek the Lord God of Israel came after them from all the tribes of Israel to Jerusalem to sacrifice to the Lord, the God of their fathers.

Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering, and come before him! Worship the Lord in holy array;


Then David said, “Here shall be the house of the Lord God and here the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”


Now set your mind and heart to seek the Lord your God. Arise and build the sanctuary of the Lord God, so that the ark of the covenant of the Lord and the holy vessels of God may be brought into a house built for the name of the Lord.”


They strengthened the kingdom of Judah, and for three years they made Rehoboam the son of Solomon secure, for they walked for three years in the way of David and Solomon.


And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul;


And all Judah rejoiced over the oath; for they had sworn with all their heart, and had sought him with their whole desire, and he was found by them, and the Lord gave them rest round about.


And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and those from Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who were sojourning with them, for great numbers had deserted to him from Israel when they saw that the Lord his God was with him.


Nevertheless some good is found in you, for you destroyed the Asherahs out of the land, and have set your heart to seek God.”


Then Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.


And Judah assembled to seek help from the Lord; from all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.


Only a few men of Asher, of Manasseh, and of Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem.


If he should take back his spirit to himself, and gather to himself his breath,


My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast! I will sing and make melody! Awake, my soul!


Put no confidence in extortion, set no vain hopes on robbery; if riches increase, set not your heart on them.


but he who did not regard the word of the Lord left his slaves and his cattle in the field.


Then the king, when he heard these words, was much distressed, and set his mind to deliver Daniel; and he labored till the sun went down to rescue him.


They feed on the sin of my people; they are greedy for their iniquity.


Now therefore thus says the Lord of hosts: Consider how you have fared.


the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, ‘Let us go at once to entreat the favor of the Lord, and to seek the Lord of hosts; I am going.’


When he came and saw the grace of God, he was glad; and he exhorted them all to remain faithful to the Lord with steadfast purpose;


then to the place which the Lord your God will choose, to make his name dwell there, thither you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, your tithes and the offering that you present, and all your votive offerings which you vow to the Lord.


he said to them, “Lay to heart all the words which I enjoin upon you this day, that you may command them to your children, that they may be careful to do all the words of this law.


But now, if your land is unclean, pass over into the Lord's land where the Lord's tabernacle stands, and take for yourselves a possession among us; only do not rebel against the Lord, or make us as rebels by building yourselves an altar other than the altar of the Lord our God.
