And behold, a man of God came out of Judah by the word of the Lord to Bethel. Jeroboam was standing by the altar to burn incense.


but have come back, and have eaten bread and drunk water in the place of which he said to you, “Eat no bread, and drink no water”; your body shall not come to the tomb of your fathers.’ ”


for so was it commanded me by the word of the Lord, saying, ‘You shall neither eat bread, nor drink water, nor return by the way that you came.’ ”


And a certain man of the sons of the prophets said to his fellow at the command of the Lord, “Strike me, I pray.” But the man refused to strike him.


But Micaiah said, “As the Lord lives, what the Lord says to me, that I will speak.”


Who has given to me, that I should repay him? Whatever is under the whole heaven is mine.


But I, O Lord, cry to thee; in the morning my prayer comes before thee.


He said, “Yes.” And when he came home, Jesus spoke to him first, saying, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do kings of the earth take toll or tribute? From their sons or from others?”


Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.


I must boast; there is nothing to be gained by it, but I will go on to visions and revelations of the Lord.

For I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through a revelation of Jesus Christ.


For what is our hope or joy or crown of boasting before our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not you?


But we would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.


who died for us so that whether we wake or sleep we might live with him.
