And Moses was very angry, and said to the Lord, “Do not respect their offering. I have not taken one ass from them, and I have not harmed one of them.”


After the reading of the law and the prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying, “Brethren, if you have any word of exhortation for the people, say it.”


Thus Joseph who was surnamed by the apostles Barnabas (which means, Son of encouragement), a Levite, a native of Cyprus,


For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.


For we are not, like so many, peddlers of God's word; but as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ.


We have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways; we refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God's word, but by the open statement of the truth we would commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.


For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake.


in honor and dishonor, in ill repute and good repute. We are treated as impostors, and yet are true;


Open your hearts to us; we have wronged no one, we have corrupted no one, we have taken advantage of no one.


for you know how, like a father with his children, we exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you


For God has not called us for uncleanness, but in holiness.


Therefore God sends upon them a strong delusion, to make them believe what is false,


For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.


Here I am; testify against me before the Lord and before his anointed. Whose ox have I taken? Or whose ass have I taken? Or whom have I defrauded? Whom have I oppressed? Or from whose hand have I taken a bribe to blind my eyes with it? Testify gainst me and I will restore it to you.”
