8 For not only has the word of the Lord sounded forth from you in Macedonia and Achaia, but your faith in God has gone forth everywhere, so that we need not say anything.

and many peoples shall come, and say: “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.


How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good tidings, who publishes peace, who brings good tidings of good, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed in all the world.


For Macedonia and Achaia have been pleased to make some contribution for the poor among the saints at Jerusalem;


For while your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, I would have you wise as to what is good and guileless as to what is evil;


What! Did the word of God originate with you, or are you the only ones it has reached?


But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumph, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.


Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God.


Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, and sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God.


Therefore we ourselves boast of you in the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which you are enduring.


Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed on and triumph, as it did among you,


I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling;


the gospel for which I am suffering and wearing fetters like a criminal. But the word of God is not fettered.


Demetrius has testimony from every one, and from the truth itself; I testify to him too, and you know my testimony is true.


Then I saw another angel flying in midheaven, with an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on earth, to every nation and tribe and tongue and people;


The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let him who hears say, “Come.” And let him who is thirsty come, let him who desires take the water of life without price.
