Then Abram fell on his face; and God said to him,


Then Bathsheba bowed with her face to the ground, and did obeisance to the king, and said, “May my lord King David live for ever!”


“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which the Lord your God gives you.


Pay all of them their dues, taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due.


Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.


And as soon as the lad had gone, David rose from beside the stone heap and fell on his face to the ground, and bowed three times; and they kissed one another, and wept with one another, until David recovered himself.


So David persuaded his men with these words, and did not permit them to attack Saul. And Saul rose up and left the cave, and went upon his way.


And David said to Saul, “Why do you listen to the words of men who say, ‘Behold, David seeks your hurt’?


Saul recognized David's voice, and said, “Is this your voice, my son David?” And David said, “It is my voice, my lord, O king.”


He said to her, “What is his appearance?” And she said, “An old man is coming up; and he is wrapped in a robe.” And Saul knew that it was Samuel, and he bowed with his face to the ground, and did obeisance.
