17 And he said to him, “Fear not; for the hand of Saul my father shall not find you; you shall be king over Israel, and I shall be next to you; Saul my father also knows this.”

With the Lord on my side I do not fear. What can man do to me?


In the fear of the Lord one has strong confidence, and his children will have a refuge.


Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will be established.


Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees.


Say to those who are of a fearful heart, “Be strong, fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.”


fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.


Fear not, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel! I will help you, says the Lord; your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.


no weapon that is fashioned against you shall prosper, and you shall confute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, says the Lord.”

And when the Lord has done to my lord according to all the good that he has spoken concerning you, and has appointed you prince over Israel,
