The angel of the Lord found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, the spring on the way to Shur.


The name of the first is Pishon; it is the one which flows around the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;


They dwelt from Havilah to Shur, which is opposite Egypt in the direction of Assyria; he settled over against all his people.


Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.


and they destroyed the remnant of the Amalekites that had escaped, and they have dwelt there to this day.


that the wicked man is spared in the day of calamity, that he is rescued in the day of wrath?


Then Moses led Israel onward from the Red Sea, and they went into the wilderness of Shur; they went three days in the wilderness and found no water.


but it will not be well with the wicked, neither will he prolong his days like a shadow, because he does not fear before God.


And he did valiantly, and smote the Amalekites, and delivered Israel out of the hands of those who plundered them.
