And Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David his father; and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.


Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, how he warred and how he reigned, behold, they are written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.


Now Rehoboam the son of Solomon reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the Lord had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. His mother's name was Naamah the Ammonitess.


Then David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David.


He reigned for three years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Micaiah the daughter of Uriel of Gibeah. Now there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.


Jeroboam did not recover his power in the days of Abijah; and the Lord smote him, and he died.

I lie down and sleep; I wake again, for the Lord sustains me.


In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for thou alone, O Lord, makest me dwell in safety.
