If your brother is being injured by what you eat, you are no longer walking in love. Do not let what you eat cause the ruin of one for whom Christ died.


just as I try to please all men in everything I do, not seeking my own advantage, but that of many, that they may be saved.


Therefore, if food is a cause of my brother's falling, I will never eat meat, lest I cause my brother to fall.


Hence, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that “an idol has no real existence,” and that “there is no God but one.”
