For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.


a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;


He will swallow up death for ever, and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth; for the Lord has spoken.


Yea, O people in Zion who dwell at Jerusalem; you shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when he hears it, he will answer you.


The time has come, the day draws near. Let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn, for wrath is upon all their multitude.


But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner evil things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish.


“Blessed are you that hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. “Blessed are you that weep now, for you shall laugh.

So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.


I mean, brethren, the appointed time has grown very short; from now on, let those who have wives live as though they had none,


and those who deal with the world as though they had no dealings with it. For the form of this world is passing away.
