13 “Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food”—and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal bodies, to make you obey their passions.


Likewise, my brethren, you have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who has been raised from the dead in order that we may bear fruit for God.


Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?


Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I therefore take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never!


Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God? You are not your own;


I feel a divine jealousy for you, for I betrothed you to Christ to present you as a pure bride to her one husband.


And he died for all, that those who live might live no longer for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.


And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.


For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior.
