then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.


In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”


For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government will be upon his shoulder, and his name will be called “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”


In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely. And this is the name by which he will be called: ‘The Lord is our righteousness.’


“Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and his name shall be called Emmanu-el” (which means, God with us).


for to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.


He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth belongs to the earth, and of the earth he speaks; he who comes from heaven is above all.


For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven, and gives life to the world.”


You know the word which he sent to Israel, preaching good news of peace by Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all),


Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.


But it is not the spiritual which is first but the physical, and then the spiritual.


For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.


Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of our religion: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.
