To the woman he said, “I will greatly multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children, yet your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you.”


This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God.


Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for God made man in his own image.


Thou hast given him dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet,


A good wife is the crown of her husband, but she who brings shame is like rottenness in his bones.


But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a woman is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.


For if a woman will not veil herself, then she should cut off her hair; but if it is disgraceful for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her wear a veil.


As for Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker in your service; and as for our brethren, they are messengers of the churches, the glory of Christ.


With it we bless the Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who are made in the likeness of God.
