Better is open rebuke than hidden love.


“You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason with your neighbor, lest you bear sin because of him.


For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of him who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval,


I commend you because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions even as I have delivered them to you.


When you meet together, it is not the Lord's supper that you eat.


What! Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I commend you in this? No, I will not.


if any one is hungry, let him eat at home—lest you come together to be condemned. About the other things I will give directions when I come.


If, therefore, the whole church assembles and all speak in tongues, and outsiders or unbelievers enter, will they not say that you are mad?


What then, brethren? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification.


not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.


or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to praise those who do right.
