Then Isaac trembled violently, and said, “Who was it then that hunted game and brought it to me, and I ate it all before you came, and I have blessed him?—yes, and he shall be blessed.”


So shall their blood come back upon the head of Joab and upon the head of his descendants for ever; but to David, and to his descendants, and to his house, and to his throne, there shall be peace from the Lord for evermore.”


But King Solomon shall be blessed, and the throne of David shall be established before the Lord for ever.”


And now, O Lord, thou art God, and thou hast promised this good thing to thy servant;


After this David defeated the Philistines and subdued them, and he took Gath and its villages out of the hand of the Philistines.


Yet the Lord God of Israel chose me from all my father's house to be king over Israel for ever; for he chose Judah as leader, and in the house of Judah my father's house, and among my father's sons he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel.


Yea, thou dost make him most blessed for ever; thou dost make him glad with the joy of thy presence.


May his name endure for ever, his fame continue as long as the sun! May men bless themselves by him, all nations call him blessed!


Behold, I received a command to bless: he has blessed, and I cannot revoke it.


For the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable.


Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,


For the Lord your God will bless you, as he promised you, and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; and you shall rule over many nations, but they shall not rule over you.
