But thou didst say, ‘I will do you good, and make your descendants as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.’ ”


Now therefore, O God of Israel, let thy word be confirmed, which thou hast spoken to thy servant David my father.


And thou didst make thy people Israel to be thy people for ever; and thou, O Lord, didst become their God.


and thy name will be established and magnified for ever, saying, ‘The Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, is Israel's God,’ and the house of thy servant David will be established before thee.


Yet the Lord God of Israel chose me from all my father's house to be king over Israel for ever; for he chose Judah as leader, and in the house of Judah my father's house, and among my father's sons he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel.


O Lord God, let thy promise to David my father be now fulfilled, for thou hast made me king over a people as many as the dust of the earth.


Remember thy word to thy servant, in which thou hast made me hope.


that I may perform the oath which I swore to your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as at this day.” Then I answered, “So be it, Lord.”


And Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.
