He thus hath said within his heart, The Lord hath quite forgot; He hides his countenance, and he for ever sees it not.


The wicked, through his pride of face, on God he doth not call; And in the counsels of his heart the Lord is not at all.


Shall not God search this out? for he heart's secrets understands.


They set their mouth against the heav'ns in their blasphemous talk; And their reproaching tongue throughout the earth at large doth walk.


Yet say they, God it shall not see, nor God of Jacob know.
