His heart is firmly stablished, afraid he shall not be, Until upon his enemies he his desire shall see.


For thou with blessings him prevent'st of goodness manifold; And thou hast set upon his head a crown of purest gold.


Come, and behold what wondrous works have by the Lord been wrought; Come, see what desolations he on the earth hath brought.


Because of those mine enemies, Lord, in thy righteousness Do thou me lead; do thou thy way make straight before my face.


Unto mine enemies he shall mischief and ill repay: O for thy truth's sake cut them off, and sweep them clean away.


For he hath me delivered from all adversities; And his desire mine eye hath seen upon mine enemies.


They daily would me swallow up that hate me spitefully; For they be many that do fight against me, O most High.


They meet, they lurk, they mark my steps, waiting my soul to kill.


O God, thou art my strength, I will sing praises unto thee; For God is my defence, a God of mercy unto me.


Against us mind not former sins; thy tender mercies show; Let them prevent us speedily, for we're brought very low.


Only thou with thine eyes shalt look, and a beholder be; And thou therein the just reward of wicked men shalt see.


Mine eyes shall also my desire see on mine enemies; Mine ears shall of the wicked hear that do against me rise.
