When he shall evil tidings hear, he shall not be afraid: His heart is fix'd, his confidence upon the Lord is stay'd.


I err'd not from them, though for me the wicked snares did set.


I said unto the Lord, Thou art my God: unto the cry Of all my supplications, Lord, do thine ear apply.


Lord, keep me safely from the snares which they for me prepare; And from the subtile gins of them that wicked workers are.


I sought the Lord, he heard, and did me from all fears deliver.


For without cause have they for me their net hid in a pit, They also have without a cause for my soul digged it.


Upon his own head his mischief shall be returned home; His vi'lent dealing also down on his own pate shall come.
