The Lord our God is merciful, and he is gracious, Long-suffering, and slow to wrath, in mercy plenteous.


Unto the upright light doth rise, though he in darkness be: Compassionate, and merciful, and righteous, is he.


The Lord is very gracious, in him compassions flow; In mercy he is very great, and is to anger slow.


But, full of pity, he forgave their sin, them did not slay; Nor stirr'd up all his wrath, but oft his anger turn'd away.


But thou art full of pity, Lord, a God most gracious, Long-suffering, and in thy truth and mercy plenteous.


For thou art gracious, O Lord, and ready to forgive; And rich in mercy, all that call upon thee to relieve.
