When he the Red sea did rebuke, then dried up it was: Through depths, as through the wilderness, he safely made them pass.


The waters' channels then were seen, the world's foundations vast At thy rebuke discover'd were, and at thy nostrils' blast.


Thy thunder's voice alongst the heav'n a mighty noise did make; By lightnings lighten'd was the world, th' earth tremble did and shake.
