Rise for our help, and us redeem, ev'n for thy mercies' sake.


Shew kindness, and do good, O Lord, to Sion, thine own hill: The walls of thy Jerusalem build up of thy good will.


Rise in thy wrath, Lord, raise thyself, for my foes raging be; And, to the judgment which thou hast commanded, wake for me.


I purpose, when I shall receive the congregation, That I shall judgment uprightly render to ev'ry one.


Before thou ever hadst brought forth the mountains great or small; Ere ever thou hadst form'd the earth, and all the world abroad; Ev'n thou from everlasting art to everlasting God.
