I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy lies in my name, saying, “I have dreamed, I have dreamed!”


And as for the prophet, priest, or the people who say, “The burden of the Lord,” I will punish them and their households.


And the prophet Jeremiah said to the prophet Hananiah, “Listen, Hananiah, the Lord has not sent you, and you made this people trust in a lie.


therefore you shall no longer see false visions or practice divination; I will save my people from your hand. Then you will know that I am the Lord.


If a prophet is deceived and speaks a word, I, the Lord, have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand against him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.

who said of his father and mother, “I regard them not”; he ignored his kin, and did not acknowledge his children. For they observed your word, and kept your covenant.
