besides that which the traders and merchants brought; and all the kings of Arabia and the governors of the land brought gold and silver to Solomon.


For the Lord hears the needy, and does not despise his own that are in bonds.


What will one answer the messengers of the nation? “The Lord has founded Zion, and the needy among his people will find refuge in her.”


but those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.


I will wait for the Lord, who is hiding his face from the house of Jacob, and I will hope in him.


Then my cousin Hanamel came to me in the court of the guard, in accordance with the word of the Lord, and said to me, “Buy my field that is at Anathoth in the land of Benjamin, for the right of possession and redemption is yours; buy it for yourself.” Then I knew that this was the word of the Lord.


But as for me, I will look to the Lord, I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.

For I know that after my death you will surely act corruptly, turning aside from the way that I have commanded you. In time to come trouble will befall you, because you will do what is evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger through the work of your hands.”
