Like clouds and wind without rain is one who boasts of a gift never given.


The one who had received the five talents went off at once and traded with them, and made five more talents.


And they went out and proclaimed the good news everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by the signs that accompanied it.]


When they arrived, they called the church together and related all that God had done with them, and how he had opened a door of faith for the Gentiles.


The whole assembly kept silence, and listened to Barnabas and Paul as they told of all the signs and wonders that God had done through them among the Gentiles.


When they came to Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church and the apostles and the elders, and they reported all that God had done with them.


After greeting them, he related one by one the things that God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.


but declared first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout the countryside of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God and do deeds consistent with repentance.


through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles for the sake of his name,


but is now disclosed, and through the prophetic writings is made known to all the Gentiles, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith—


But thanks be to God that you, having once been slaves of sin, have become obedient from the heart to the form of teaching to which you were entrusted,


The God and Father of the Lord Jesus (blessed be he forever!) knows that I do not lie.


But if I wish to boast, I will not be a fool, for I will be speaking the truth. But I refrain from it, so that no one may think better of me than what is seen in me or heard from me,


Not that we are competent of ourselves to claim anything as coming from us; our competence is from God,


As we work together with him, we urge you also not to accept the grace of God in vain.


(for he who worked through Peter making him an apostle to the circumcised also worked through me in sending me to the Gentiles),


And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
