O how abundant is your goodness that you have laid up for those who fear you, and accomplished for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of everyone!


You shall see, and your heart shall rejoice; your bodies shall flourish like the grass; and it shall be known that the hand of the Lord is with his servants, and his indignation is against his enemies.


But when the righteous turn away from their righteousness and commit iniquity and do the same abominable things that the wicked do, shall they live? None of the righteous deeds that they have done shall be remembered; for the treachery of which they are guilty and the sin they have committed, they shall die.


Again, if the righteous turn from their righteousness and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before them, they shall die; because you have not warned them, they shall die for their sin, and their righteous deeds that they have done shall not be remembered; but their blood I will require at your hand.


But as for that in the good soil, these are the ones who, when they hear the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patient endurance.


He removes every branch in me that bears no fruit. Every branch that bears fruit he prunes to make it bear more fruit.


Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples;


When he came and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced, and he exhorted them all to remain faithful to the Lord with steadfast devotion;


There they strengthened the souls of the disciples and encouraged them to continue in the faith, saying, “It is through many persecutions that we must enter the kingdom of God.”


For if God did not spare the natural branches, perhaps he will not spare you.


to those who by patiently doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life;


through which also you are being saved, if you hold firmly to the message that I proclaimed to you—unless you have come to believe in vain.


So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.


For this reason, when I could bear it no longer, I sent to find out about your faith; I was afraid that somehow the tempter had tempted you and that our labor had been in vain.


For we now live, if you continue to stand firm in the Lord.


Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful.


For we have become partners of Christ, if only we hold our first confidence firm to the end.


Christ, however, was faithful over God's house as a son, and we are his house if we hold firm the confidence and the pride that belong to hope.


They went out from us, but they did not belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. But by going out they made it plain that none of them belongs to us.


Remember then from what you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.
