For in the days of David and Asaph long ago there was a leader of the singers, and there were songs of praise and thanksgiving to God.


And the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, who with his associates was in charge of the songs of thanksgiving.


Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, bless his name.


Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. And let all the people say, “Amen.” Praise the Lord!


And let them offer thanksgiving sacrifices, and tell of his deeds with songs of joy.


I will offer to you a thanksgiving sacrifice and call on the name of the Lord.


Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; make melody to our God on the lyre.


Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen.


Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High.

Otherwise, if you say a blessing with the spirit, how can anyone in the position of an outsider say the “Amen” to your thanksgiving, since the outsider does not know what you are saying?


Yes, everything is for your sake, so that grace, as it extends to more and more people, may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.
