Blessed be the Lord, the God of our ancestors, who put such a thing as this into the heart of the king to glorify the house of the Lord in Jerusalem,


whose hearts he then turned to hate his people, to deal craftily with his servants.


The human mind may devise many plans, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will be established.


The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will.


But Israel is saved by the Lord with everlasting salvation; you shall not be put to shame or confounded to all eternity.


I will make an everlasting covenant with them, never to draw back from doing good to them; and I will put the fear of me in their hearts, so that they may not turn from me.


The man clothed in linen, who was upstream, raised his right hand and his left hand toward heaven. And I heard him swear by the one who lives forever that it would be for a time, two times, and half a time, and that when the shattering of the power of the holy people comes to an end, all these things would be accomplished.


For the Son of Man is going as it has been determined, but woe to that one by whom he is betrayed!”


Then Satan entered into Judas called Iscariot, who was one of the twelve;


For I tell you, this scripture must be fulfilled in me, ‘And he was counted among the lawless’; and indeed what is written about me is being fulfilled.”

I am not speaking of all of you; I know whom I have chosen. But it is to fulfill the scripture, ‘The one who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me.’


The devil had already put it into the heart of Judas son of Simon Iscariot to betray him. And during supper


So they said to one another, “Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it to see who will get it.” This was to fulfill what the scripture says, “They divided my clothes among themselves, and for my clothing they cast lots.”

But thanks be to God who put in the heart of Titus the same eagerness for you that I myself have.

Then I saw another portent in heaven, great and amazing: seven angels with seven plagues, which are the last, for with them the wrath of God is ended.


These are united in yielding their power and authority to the beast;


And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are true words of God.”


They were each given a white robe and told to rest a little longer, until the number would be complete both of their fellow servants and of their brothers and sisters, who were soon to be killed as they themselves had been killed.
