I will establish my covenant between me and you, and your offspring after you throughout their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your offspring after you.


You would confound the plans of the poor, but the Lord is their refuge.


I cry to you, O Lord; I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”


Give heed to my cry, for I am brought very low. Save me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me.


The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.


I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, so I shall be saved from my enemies.


O my God, in you I trust; do not let me be put to shame; do not let my enemies exult over me.


My times are in your hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies and persecutors.


Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy; and I will praise you with the harp, O God, my God.


God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.


Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea;


that this is God, our God forever and ever. He will be our guide forever.


For you, O God, have heard my vows; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.


Be to me a rock of refuge, a strong fortress, to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.


Because you have made the Lord your refuge, the Most High your dwelling place,


The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.


Surely God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid, for the Lord God is my strength and my might; he has become my salvation.


At that time, says the Lord, I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.


Now he is God not of the dead, but of the living; for to him all of them are alive.”


But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; indeed, he has prepared a city for them.
